Education & Certification

Education

ACS has a number of established Education and Certification programs. It is the belief of the ACS that education and certification are the corner stone of any profession and every professional. ACS established the Computer Professional (CP) program in response to both national and international demands for an increase in professionalism in ICT and ICT-related practitioners. The program is designed to certify those who attain professional status through:

  • Education, training and professional development activities
  • Sustained experience at a professional level
  • A commitment to standards of professional behaviour and a code of ethics
  • A commitment to continuing professional development
Alongside the establishment of the CP program, the ACS has developed a number of educational pathways to allow the practitioner achieve CP status- the recognition for ICT professionals. These educational programs cater to a variety of time and societal contraints and can be found in the following section- ACSEducation Programs.
