River City Labs announce exciting evolution

Move sees the next phase in supporting Australia’s entrepreneurial community

24 January 2024

River City Labs and ACS are pleased to announce an exciting evolution with the launch of ACS Labs a Digital Membership which coincides with a move to new premises in the Brisbane CBD.

After 11 years of success in the innovation ecosystem enabling Entrepreneurs in QLD, River City Labs has decided to increase its focus on the programs and resources it provides its members through a digital membership.

A new ACS Labs digital membership has been designed to support Entrepreneurs, as well as the communities they need to increase their success in market.  This includes the Mentors, Partners, and Talent who can now support a broader community across Australia, not just in Queensland.

The 2024 River City Labs cohort is open for expressions of interest from entrepreneurs across Australia as the new digital service rolls out, applicants can visit https://rivercitylabs.acs.org.au/the-labs.html for more information.

As part of the new service, River City Labs will no longer be offering coworking as part of its membership fees, with members’ coworking needs provided by partner Hub Australia at exclusive rates. Members will be able to access programs and services in an online ecosystem and have the option to co-locate with RCL and continue to network in person at Hub Australia’s Brisbane space in Anzac Square.

River City Labs will continue to run its flagship annual event for Australia’s Emerging Technology, Something Tech. as part of Something Fest. Something Tech will take place on the 29th and 30th of August 2024 at Brisbane’s Howard Smith Wharves.

“We’re excited to be rolling out the new digital ecosystem,” said Pauline Fetaui, Director of ACS Innovation Labs. “The digital platform allows us to offer services to entrepreneurs across Australia and I’m looking forward to our team helping take a whole new generation of startups into global markets”.

“For our existing Brisbane community, our new CBD location in Anzac Square is a great venue for founders and the wider ecosystem to connect and we’re looking forward to hosting some great events with our first Community Coffee to kick off at The Hub on February 1.”

Details on the new location, RCL’s Digital Membership, and upcoming events can be found at the River City Labs website, visit https://rivercitylabs.acs.org.au/ .

“It’s great to be making the Labs programs accessible to all emerging technology companies, both starting and scaling across Australia, and we look forward to helping some great founders, now online whilst they can still come and visit the team at River City Labs in Brisbane, or catch us all annually at Something Tech.” concluded Pauline.
