I have over two years’ experience working in the field of a Business Analysts, and have enjoyed the hands on experience and learnings during this time. Alannah's career encompasses a diverse background in marketing, stakeholder management, and event organisation, spanning over a decade of experience across the technology, music entertainment, and law industries. As the Stakeholder Relations Manager for the ACS Queensland Branch, she demonstrates a passion for supporting the future of tech and facilitating opportunities for students and graduates to connect with industry contacts and resources to advance their careers. Alannah created and leads the first ACS QLD Emerging Professionals Committee which has attracted members from across Queensland and has created a voice for the emerging professional’s cohort. Alannah's efforts in creating a safe space for emerging professionals to connect and collaborate can help to nurture a new generation of industry leaders and contribute to the growth and development of the technology sector in Queensland.

Nicola Steel is the Founder of JJP Talent Solutions, an IT recruitment business based in Brisbane. She has over 20 years IT recruitment experience in both Australia and the UK working with a diverse range of clients. Since 1999, she has connected over 1000 tech professionals with high growth startups, innovative SMEs and visionary corporates. I am an Automation Architect at Mater Hospital, bringing innovation and efficiency to healthcare through automation technology. I hold a Master of Information Technology from QUT and am currently engaged as a Sessional Academic in the Information Systems School.

I am proud to be recognized as a Microsoft’s Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award for my exceptional contributions to the tech community. I'm passionate about helping the next generation of IT professionals. That's why I'm an active member of the ACS Emerging Professional Committee, where we mentor and support young talents entering the field. I am also a tech mentor for the Queensland government helping small businesses to leverage technology for their enterprises as part of Queensland’s government Mentoring for Growth initiative.  

But it doesn't stop there! I get to travel and share my knowledge as an International Speaker. Talking about automation, healthcare tech, and digital transformation with audiences around the world. Some of my articles have been published in Acceleration Economy, United States, giving me the opportunity to showcase my thoughts and insights on various topics. And here's some exciting news – I was honoured to receive a Global Talent Visa from the Department of Home Affairs, recognizing my expertise and impact in the technology field.

With a decade-long background as a Business Analyst, Simi has garnered extensive expertise across diverse industries within the realm of IT. Her dedication lies in designing streamlined processes, establishing impeccable quality standards, and ensuring client-centric value delivery.

Currently positioned as a Business Analyst at MYP Corporation, Simi also assumes the role of vice-chair for the Emerging Professionals Committee. She is a strong advocate for Business Analysis within ACS and plan to create a series of events and articles to support future leaders in the industry. Balancing her professional commitments, she nurtures a spirited toddler and embraces the title of "mama."
