About this event
This event aims to help women understand and discover their career options. It is open to all female professionals, staff and students.
Our panel speakers will share their insights about their career journeys, how they progressed in their ICT career paths, and how they settled themselves in the workplace with the support of others.
It is an excellent opportunity for women to engage and meet people in the ICT sector and to build a supportive and inclusive professional community.

Speakers
She is a cyber security professional, an alumnus of University of Canberra and ACS Canberra Member.
Elizabeth is continuously working on her mission of simplifying information security to the people she serves.
Elizabeth Kinuthia held a Bachelor in Information Technology - Specialist Major in Cybersecurity and System Administration.
As an IT Technical Specialist (Active Directory), Sam is lead in managing our service provider relationships, who maintain and secure our Active Directory (AD) environment.
As part of this work, Sam also collaborates with service providers, technical specialists and relevant ATO Architectural subject matter experts, to define and drive the future state.
This role acts as a critical link between End User requirements to ensure a high level of accuracy and consistency is applied in the delivery of services, and that best practice is utilised for maintaining the health and security of the AD environment.
She helps her clients lead digital transformations, start tech-based businesses and navigate their tech careers with a passion to support more women in the tech industry.
Vi is an alumni of the University of Canberra and previously on the ACS AI & Ethics Committee and NSW Executive Committee. She started her career as an IT cadet at the Australian Taxation Office in Canberra over 20 years ago, and has since worked at Boston Consulting Group, KPMG, Macquarie Bank, Volvo Cars, AFRY (a Nordic consulting firm) and the Swedish Space Association. She has also started a Not for Profit and has led projects in Australia, Sweden and Vietnam.
For the last 20 years, Vi has navigated roles as a tech specialist and strategist across multiple industries and roles and looks forward to sharing her reflections and advice to women starting this journey.
She is experienced at delivering complex and transformational business change programs, using a range of methodologies to achieve strategic outcomes.
Jessica creates positive impacts on customer experience, company culture and bottom-line profit, whilst working closely across the business.
Jessica has a strong focus on developing talent to deliver outcomes that support the organisation's objectives.

Registration
- Payment in full is required the time of booking in order for the registration to be valid.
- To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.
- Online registration ends at the time stated on the event registration page.
Cancellation and Refund
All cancellations must be processed through the website, a refund will only be considered if it is at least 3 working days prior to the event.
Disclaimer
- ACS reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and members are updated with changes.
- All dietary requirements are considered, however we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free environment.
- ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff, its agents and/or others working under its authority.
- Filming or streaming by attendees is not permitted. If an attendee is found to be doing so they will be asked to leave the event immediately and further action may be taken.
- Photography and/or filming may take place during this event, by accepting these terms you consent to this. Please let a member of ACS know if you do not want your picture taken.
COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance
By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions
- If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
- If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
- We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
- ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
- All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
