Registration for ACS Victoria’s ‘Diversity – How far have we come’ breakfast event opens Monday

Thursday, 08 Dec 2016

ACS Victoria invites you to join us at our first premium event for 2017 ‘Diversity – How far have we come?’ hosted by incoming ACS Victoria Chair, Maria Markman.

Currently women represent only 28% of the ICT profession compared to 43% across all professional services industries. Mature age workers (55 years and above) currently represent only 11% of the ICT workforce compared to 15% across all industries. Improving workforce diversity is a key challenge to addressing skills shortages and to improve business results. This includes improving gender balance, assisting young people entering the profession, migrant workers in Australia, and embracing workers with disabilities.

We will have a moderated panel of diversity champions who will share their opinion on the diversity agenda and how it has differed with each generation, evolved as a country and how we can continue to break down the diversity barriers.

Joining our panel is Victorian Winner of the 2015 Telstra Business Women's Award (Corporate and Private), Rohini Kappadath; and winner of the 2016 Emerging Women in Leadership Award and Founder & Director of Medcorp Technologies, Jacqueline Savage. We will announce more speakers in the coming weeks!

A morning of networking and insight alongside 140+ ICT professionals from across the business, government and education sectors, this is an event not to be missed!
