This week, we visited Melbourne Institute of Technology (MIT) and Monash University, to get involved in the excitement of orientation week.
We kicked off the week at MIT in Melbourne on Tuesday to talk to the new students about ACS. During the break, students enjoyed lunch and mingled with relevant industry contacts and bodies. Being new to the industry, students were interested in finding out how ACS can help guide and support them through their studies, and ultimately help with their transition into a successful IT career.
The following day, we visited Monash University in Clayton where WIRED Monash, a student club for those studying and interested in IT, had teamed up with the Faculty of Information Technology to hold an IT industry night. We managed to speak to several of the 600 attendees about ACS and the benefits that are offered through our student membership.
Thank you to MIT and Monash for allowing us to attend and get to know new students within the industry.
