About this event

In August 2020, the Australian Government released Australia’s Cyber Security Strategy 2020." Over the next 10 years, $1.67 billion will be invested to create a more secure online world for Australians, their businesses and the essential services upon which we all depend.

Amongst the many actions highlighted in the report, one of the most important ones is about the responsibilities of Australian businesses to secure their products and services and protect their customers from known cyber vulnerabilities.

Learn from Cyber Security expert Ashwin Pal who will share his expertise on Cyber Resilience.

With the evolving threat landscape, taking a protective stance is no longer enough or viable. Transformational CISOs must accept the fact that breaches are inevitable and they have to be ready to detect, respond and recover from a breach. A move from cyber protection to cyber resilience is critical.

In his presentation, Ashwin will answer two critical questions – “How Do I Know If We Have Been Compromised?” and “How Do I Stop Us Being Compromised?”. We will discuss how to conduct compromise assessments, understanding and responding to a common attack, what part zero trust plays in cyber resilience and the need to get strategic in your approach.
