About this event

Have your say on the new ACS constitution!

We welcome ACS QLD Branch members to participate in the second of constitutional reform workshops.  Now's the time to provide your input into how the Society is run in the future.

This second round is all about the elements that make up a constitution.
Meetings will focus on the elements that you, and other participants, see as the important ones.

A set of documents will be released on 3 February, providing background information, and identifying what we suspect the key items might be.

Meetings will generally run for an hour, with a lead-in provided, to make sure that all participants are oriented to the session's aims.

The project as a whole began in September last year.  Background information on the overall aims, and the first round of consultation and its outcomes, can be found below.

About the constitutional process

The consultation process was initiated by ACS Congress, and is being run by the Constitutional Reform Working Group (CRWG), jointly convened by Dr Nick Tate (now the Society's President) and Dr Roger Clarke.

Three rounds of consultation are scheduled.

The first ran September to December 2021, and discussed principles.

You can find details of that process here:
https://crwg.acs.org.au

and the Report back to Members here:

The link to join the meeting is below and will be emailed closer to the event.
(Will feature shortly)

We look forward to seeing you then.
