About this event

IMPORTANT NOTE:
*Please remember that only the Xmas dinner is funded by the ACS BEC and these quarterly lunches are self-funded, noting the discussion, networking and socialising are well worth it the cost of lunch!

ACS Canberra and Peter Lambert FACS would like to invite you to the quarterly Fellows Lunch.

This is an opportunity to meet with your peers and contribute to the Branch strategy of increasing the profile of the ACS, recognise leaders in the Canberra ICT community and to help build the capability of our workforce.

The strategic aim for the Canberra Branch Fellows is to expand, refresh and rebalance the Fellows membership so that it better represents, mentors, influences and champions ACS members and ICT professionals throughout the Canberra region.

The Ten objectives for 2022/23 are:
  • Expand the number of Fellows to at least 1% of the membership (ie 30)
  • Reach a target of at least 30% of our Fellows being female (reflective of the ICT workforce)
  • Research and identify potential Fellow candidates from APS Band 1, ADF 1 Star and above, MACS Snr and ICT Industry
  • Assist in assessment of potential Fellow candidates
  • Hold quarterly Fellows lunch (self-paid) and an annual Fellow’s dinner with the BEC (subsidised) as a round table
  • Networking functions with Fellows and MACS Snr members with the objective of encouraging Fellow applications
  • Increased ACS Fellows speaking at Branch professional development events
  • Recognition of new Fellows at appropriate Branch events
  • Fellows to play a greater role in the mentoring programs run by the Branch
