Speakers
With a background in data and technology strategy, I've had the privilege of witnessing the impact that technologies can have on organisations and individuals. Through my work with organisations in both public and private sectors, I believe in the power of using technology as an efficient tool to support business goals and customer needs. As a technology consultant deeply passionate about the future of technology, I'm excited to share insights, exchange ideas, and collaborate with fellow panellists to shape a future where technology serves as a driver of positive change and innovation.
Sarah-Jane Peterschlingmann is the owner and Managing Director of ATech, an award-winning company that delivers cloud hosting and web development for mission critical websites.
Starting as a web developer, Sarah-Jane helped to grow ATech from humble beginnings to multi-million dollar revenues and an impressive list of high calibre clients including Virgin Australia, Seqwater and Brisbane City Council.
Sarah-Jane is an investor, entrepreneur, business adviser and technology enthusiast who regularly speaks on the topics of technology, innovation and leadership. She is a featured author of the new international bestseller “Wholehearted Leadership Revolution”.
Sarah-Jane is Vice Chair of the ACS Qld Branch Executive Committee for 2024/2025 and a fellow of the ACS. She is a director of Autism Queensland and Enabled.VIP, and has held seats on advisory boards and executive committees for CQUniversity, QUT, University of Queensland, and Women in Technology.
She has a Bachelor of IT majoring in Artificial Intelligence and Digital Electronics, a Master of Property Studies, an Executive MBA, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Dr Christoph Breidbach is an Associate Professor of business information systems and Co-Lead of the UQ Service Innovation Alliance at The University of Queensland. He previously held positions at The University of Melbourne and the University of California, Merced, and was a visiting researcher at IBM's Almaden Research Center.
His research addresses fundamental questions of digital transformation in service settings, and appears consistently in leading journals and conference proceedings. Christoph received nationally competitive funding exceeding $1 million from the Australian Research Council, the Department of Education or industry partners.
Tonia is currently a Board member with South West Hospital and Health Service and an Industry Advisory Board Member for the University of Queensland. Previously Tonia has been a Board Member for Asperger Services Australia and the Morningside Panthers AFL.
Tonia holds a Doctor of Philosophy – Information Systems, Master of Evaluation, Master of Health Service Management, Master of Information Technology, Post Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment, Bachelor of Business – Accounting, Bachelor of Business – Management and is a Certified Practising Accountant.
Stan's interests focus on how digital technology impacts organisations and society. Over the last ten years he has undertaken a program of research on the interaction between new digital technologies and organisations. Recently he completed a project for the International Telecommunications Union on digital transformation in Ghana and for Emergency Management Victoria on how social media platforms change the information landscape in the emergency sector. His research draws and expands on activity theory, an area in where he is recognised as an international expert. He holds a visiting position at the University of Leeds and regularly teaches on a summer school on activity theory in Europe.
He is a Senior Editor for Information Systems Journal, an Associate Editor for the European Journal of Information Systems, Section Editor for the Australian Journal on Information Systems, and on the Editorial Board for Mind, Culture & Activity and the International Journal of Information Management.
He has published in leading information systems journals such as the Journal of the Association of Information Systems, MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Journal, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Strategic Information Systems and Journal of Information Technology. He also regularly publishes in leading information systems conferences such as the International Conference on Information Systems, Americas Conference on Information Systems and Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences. In addition to academic publications, he has written reports for government and organisations, his research also appears in The Conversation and other news and media outlets.

Registration
- Payment in full is required the time of booking in order for the registration to be valid.
- To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.
- Online registration ends at the time stated on the event registration page.
Cancellation and Refund
All cancellations must be processed through the website, a refund will only be considered if it is at least 3 working days prior to the event.
Disclaimer
- ACS reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and members are updated with changes.
- All dietary requirements are considered, however we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free environment.
- ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff, its agents and/or others working under its authority.
- Filming or streaming by attendees is not permitted. If an attendee is found to be doing so they will be asked to leave the event immediately and further action may be taken.
- Photography and/or filming may take place during this event, by accepting these terms you consent to this. Please let a member of ACS know if you do not want your picture taken.
COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance
By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions
- If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
- If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
- We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
- ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
- All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
