Artificial Intelligence promises great benefits and almost daily advances and platform releases with equal amounts of concern for data security and sovereignty. This is a market with lots of noise and we need to make the right moves, but what are they?
This premier ACS SA Branch event will allow you to connect with other SA ICT and Business Leaders, SA Government and ACS Leadership at our upcoming SA Leaders Lunch to be held at the prestigious Adelaide Oval SACCA Committee Room on Friday 2 May 2025 where you will be treated to a sumptuous two course lunch with a selection of locally sourced refreshments.
Our renowned keynote speaker Mr Michael Donoghue will take us through the ups and downs of rolling out an AI strategy within your business, identifying barriers to success, extracting value simply and effectively, identifying the risks and traps and most of all, how to jump in and wrestle with the detail and ride the AI tsunami.

Julie supports her clients' information and data journeys, emphasising engaging stakeholders, understanding requirements, compliance obligations, and pain point analysis.
After starting work as a busboy at age 15, Michael went on to a successful career as a professional in the IT sector and as an adviser to government on economic development. He also spent six years as State Secretary of South Australian Labor, after which he served as the Chief Executive of an Adelaide law firm and as Chief of Staff to the Minister for Communities and Social Inclusion.
Michael was elected as the Member for Playford in March 2018 and, following an electoral redistribution, was elected in March 2022 as the Member of Florey.
It has been Michael’s privilege to serve on a number of Parliamentary Committees, including as the Chair of the Select Committee on Artificial Intelligence and as a member of the Committee on the Establishment of Adelaide University.
His current membership includes the Legislative Review Committee, the Public Works Committee and the Statutory Officers Committee.
As a former IT professional, Michael has a particular interest in technology and Artificial Intelligence, particularly with regard to their role in economic development and their social impact. In his spare time, Michael enjoys reading a good book and spending quality time with his family.
Prior to this role, Eva was SA Government’s Chief Information Officer for almost seven years, leading the team responsible for providing critical whole of government technology, digital and cyber security services to more than 110,000 public servants for almost seven years. Eva was also responsible for spearheading the SA Government's first policy for the use and governance of artificial intelligence within the public sector.
Earlier in her career, Eva worked for Microsoft in Europe, Asia and Australia, including State Director for Microsoft South Australia. Eva has a PhD in innovation and entrepreneurship from the University of Adelaide, and is Founder and Director of HerTechPath Limited, a grass-roots social enterprise she established in 2016, to promote STEM careers to girls.
Eva also contributes as a Director for Novita that provides services to people living with a disability, and she is a Trustee of the History Trust of South Australia.

Registration
- Payment in full is required the time of booking in order for the registration to be valid.
- To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.
- Online registration ends at the time stated on the event details page.
Cancellation and Refund
All cancellations must be processed through the website, a refund will only be considered if it is at least 3 working days prior to the event.

- ACS reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and members are updated with changes.
- All dietary requirements are considered, however we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free environment.
- ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff, its agents and/or others working under its authority.
- Filming or streaming by attendees is not permitted. If an attendee is found to be doing so they will be asked to leave the event immediately and further action may be taken.

COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance
By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions
- If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
- If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
- We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
- ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
- All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
