Call for Nominations 2016 -2017 Branch Executive Committee

Notice to all ACS Canberra Branch financial members - 7 April 2016.

Nominations are hereby called for positions on the 2016 -2017 ACS Canberra Branch Executive Committee. Appointments commence 1 July, 2016.
 
Office Bearers:
* Branch Treasurer - (Two year term) - only Professional Division can apply – not Associates
* Branch Secretary - (Two year term) - only Professional Division can apply – not Associates
 
Ordinary Committee:
* Ordinary Committee Members (5 positions) - (Two year term). Open to all financial members
 
Eligibility: 
All financial members of the ACS Canberra Branch are eligible for nomination. For a nomination to be valid it must show the name and membership number and membership grade of the eligible candidate, be signed by the candidate as evidence of willingness to accept nomination and be signed by another member of any grade, of the Branch, as proposer.

A portion of the current BEC will be stepping down on 30 June, and are eligible to re-nominate with the exception of the Chair and Vice Chair who are half way through their two year term, and five of the current BEC who are also half way through their term.
 
Notes:
Office Bearers are drawn from members of the Professional Division.* At least half of the Ordinary Committee Members of the BEC must be members of the Professional Division.

* Members, Senior Members and Fellows together form the Professional Division of the ACS.  The nominator for these grades include MACS, MACS Senior and FACS. Those who are certified either as a Certified Technologist (CT) or Certified Professional (CP) automatically qualify as Professional Division members and can run for Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, Treasurer or Secretary.

Your nomination must reach, The Returning Officer prior to 5.00pm, 6 May, 2016 via mail attention “The Returning Officer” to acscanb@acs.org.au or a hard copy can be posted to: The Returning Officer, ACS Canberra Branch, Unit 9, 26 Napier Close Deakin ACT 2600
 
The onus rests with those concerned to ensure that nominations are lodged by the closing date and time.
 
For nomination guidelines please contact the Canberra Branch. The Nomination Form is on page 6. Please print off, fill in, sign noting you require a proposer to also sign and they need to be a financial member of the ACS. Either scan and email the completed form or post as indicated.
