Paul Walters is an experienced Manager with a history of working in the information technology and services industry. He is dedicated to delivering results and driving value, as well as trying to motivate people from all walks of life, with all skill sets to achieve engagement and deliver results for the individual, company & community.
Paul has a drive to deliver a change in people's lives, by setting them up to succeed not only today but tomorrow. He finds that helping someone achieve their dreams and goals is exciting and really invigorates him to do more to achieve more. Stretching someone to do what they thought was impossible. Leaving the world and industries he touches in a better shape or situation then when he started, to allow the next generation coming into the workforce to achieve great things that we haven’t even thought of yet.
For over 20 years, David and his team have been helping SMB and SME businesses understand their cyber risk and implement practical cyber security solutions that meet their unique needs and budget.
In April 2021, David’s business was acquired by CFC, a major cyber insurer based in London with clients in over 90 countries. On the 18th of October 2022, three business units in the USA, UK and Australia were officially brought under the one banner, “Solis”, a global leader in Cyber Incident Response and Proactive Cyber Security services.
David is the CEO of CFC Security in Australia, which operates under two brands.
“Solis Security” when providing Cyber Advisory, Proactive Cyber Security, Digital Forensic and Incident Response services.
“CFC Response” when providing Digital Forensics and Incident Response services to CFC insurance policy holders under their insurance policy.
David is a CISSP, GCFE (Certified Forensic Examiner), GCFA (Certified Forensic Analyst), GCFE (Certified Forensic Examiner) and Certified Professional (Cyber Security) by the Australian Computer Society.
David is passionate about empowering boards, business owners and managers with the knowledge they need to make educated decisions on cyber security based risks for their business.
Deputy Director, Institute for Integrated and Intelligent Systems
Griffith University
Professor Alan Liew is currently the Head of School, the School of Information & Communication Technology, and the Deputy Director of the Institute for Integrated Intelligent Systems (IIIS), at Griffith University, Australia. His research interest lies in the field of AI, machine learning, medical imaging, computer vision, and bioinformatics. He has published extensively in these areas with two books and more than 250 journal and conference papers, and holds two international patents. He is leading the medical/health informatics stream in IIIS, and is engaging with the Menzies Health Institute, the Gold Coast University Hospital, and Queensland Health on several collaborative projects. Professor Liew served on the organizing committee or technical program committee of many conferences, on editorial boards, as assessor for nationally competitive research grants, and reviewers for many international conferences and journals. He is currently serving as an associate editor of IEEE Trans. Fuzzy Systems, Springer Nature Computer Science, and International Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems, Machine Intelligence Research.

Registration
- Payment in full is required the time of booking in order for the registration to be valid.
- To avoid disappointment, ensure you pay for your booking(s) before the registration closing date. Anyone that has not received a confirmation email will not be on the event attendance list and therefore will not be admitted to the event.
- Online registration ends at the time stated on the event registration page.
Cancellation and Refund
All cancellations must be processed through the website, a refund will only be considered if it is at least 3 working days prior to the event.
Disclaimer
- ACS reserves the right to change the program at any time. Every effort will be made to ensure a program of equivalent standard and members are updated with changes.
- All dietary requirements are considered, however we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen free environment.
- ACS reserves the right to prohibit entry or eject any person from an ACS event based on behaviour deemed inappropriate by ACS staff, its agents and/or others working under its authority.
- Filming or streaming by attendees is not permitted. If an attendee is found to be doing so they will be asked to leave the event immediately and further action may be taken.
- Photography and/or filming may take place during this event, by accepting these terms you consent to this. Please let a member of ACS know if you do not want your picture taken.
COVID-19 Event Attendance Compliance
By registering to attend an ACS in person event you are agreeing to the below terms and conditions
- If an attendee is displaying flu or cold like symptoms in the days leading up to the event and therefore is not able to attend, ACS will refund the registration fee.
- If an attendee comes to an event and is displaying flu or cold like symptoms they will be asked to leave
- We ask all ACS members to respect the social distancing guidelines, if an attendee repeatedly disregards these guidelines, they may be asked to leave
- ACS reserves the right to cancel the event within 24 hours' notice if either the speaker or the event host has advised us that they are exhibiting flu or cold like symptoms
- All attendees must provide a valid phone number and email address to be contacted on if there is reason to notify about a possible COVID-19 exposure
