IMPORTANT NOTICE: PLEASE DO NOT REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT IF YOU DO NOT LIVE IN VICTORIA.

This is an in-person event for women currently working in the technology profession in Victoria.

As reported in 2023's Australia’s Digital Pulse, approximately 30% of Australia’s technology professionals are women, with progress toward improving representation and equal participation of women in the workforce being glacially slow.

Of the women currently employed in technology roles, many have experienced and continue to face barriers and career challenges. From those navigating their way in the early stages of their career, through to established professionals, they all seem to face the same barriers. Job progression, network building, imposter syndrome, and a lack of opportunities for them to innovate and secure well-paying roles being just a few of the key issues faced by women across the Australian technology landscape.

In an effort to help bridge the divide and support women in tech, ACS is eager to delve deeper into the wants and needs of women working in the sector. Through candid and open discussions, we’d like to gather broader and honest insights from women on their various pain points and understand how ACS might help solve them.

Facilitated by ACS’ Vice President of Communities, Jo Stewart-Rattray and Director of the Membership Advisory Board, Dr Asheley Jones, we warmly welcome and encourage all women working in technology to attend and participate in our series of conversation circles, so we can continue to work toward building an equitable and diverse Australian technology sector.

AGENDA:

5.30pm - Registrations open

6:00pm - Discussion commences

7:00pm - Networking and refreshments
