Consideration of current and emergent cyber security risks must commence as early as possible in the ICT product development lifecycle. Developers often fail to understand the different types of ICT security issues and risks, leading to security flaws that are either very costly to remediate or expose the owner to additional risk for the life of the product.

Government and industry must collaborate to manage ICT security throughout the entire life cycle by searching for and addressing design weaknesses, implementation errors, and manufacturing problems, combining ICT products (software or hardware) and supply chain analysis.

This panel session will provide participants with an understanding of how evaluations of ICT products are undertaken under AISEP and similar programs, develop new techniques and capabilities that test, assess, and evaluate ICT systems, devices, and products throughout their lifecycle to a high level of assurance to protect information, and the underlying missions they support, at all levels of classification and sensitivities.

Our panellists are:

Dr Hin Chan, Manager, Australian Certification Authority (ACA), Australian Cyber Security Centre, ASD

Erin Glenn, Director of Product Management, Belkin International

Patrick Campbell-Dunn, Securus Consulting Group

Our facilitator:

TBC

Event run sheet
5:30 PM – 5:50 PM (20 min): Arrival & registration.
