IFIP Working Group

The relationship between the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) and the Australian Computer Society (ACS) is one of collaboration and affiliation within the global and regional contexts of information technology (IT) and computing.

IFIP is an international organization that aims to promote the understanding and advancement of information and communication technologies (ICT) within the international community. It provides a platform for collaboration, networking, and knowledge exchange among IT professionals, researchers, and practitioners worldwide. IFIP facilitates various activities such as conferences, workshops, and publications to promote the exchange of ideas and best practices in the field of computing.

On the other hand, the Australian Computer Society (ACS) is a professional association in Australia that represents IT professionals and practitioners in various sectors, including academia, industry, and government. It plays a significant role in advocating for the interests of IT professionals, promoting IT education and training, and fostering the growth of the IT industry in Australia.

While IFIP operates at an international level, the ACS serves as a national-level organization within Australia. However, both organizations share common goals of advancing the field of computing, promoting professional development, and fostering collaboration among IT professionals globally and within Australia.

The relationship between IFIP and the ACS is characterized by mutual recognition and collaboration. The ACS often participates in IFIP-sponsored events, such as conferences and workshops, and contributes to IFIP's initiatives and working groups. Similarly, IFIP recognizes the ACS as a key player in the Australian IT landscape and values its contributions to the global IT community

Overall, the relationship between IFIP and the ACS is one of partnership and cooperation aimed at advancing the field of computing and promoting the interests of IT professionals both globally and within Australia.
