ACS, the professional association for Australia’s technology sector, will this week launch the first of its Digital Transformation Regional Roadshows showcasing local tech leaders and the digital transformation opportunities for regional industries.
Held in partnership with NBN Co, the Digital Transformation Regional Roadshow features local technology success stories in industries ranging across agriculture, medical software and IT managed services with panellists sharing their respective tech journeys.
Along with today’s successes, the roadshow will highlight the opportunities for regional communities, workers, students and businesses in the technology sector.
Beau Tydd, ACS Queensland Branch Chair, said: “technology is embedded into all of today’s regional industries and this roadshow will showcase some of regional Queensland’s leading lights in technology, the sector’s career opportunities and how digital transformation is reshaping regional industries such as agriculture, education, transport and tourism.”
“Given the importance of connectivity to our regional industries and communities, we’re delighted NBN Co have partnered with us to present the roadshow and thank them for their support.”
Head of Queensland nbn local Kylie Lindsay said being a part of the Digital Transformation Regional Roadshow aligned perfectly with work already occurring to foster innovation and lift digital capability in regional Australia.
“Initiatives like our Innovate with nbn Grants Program - recognise and celebrate regional businesses overcoming challenges with innovation, connectivity and networking within their communities,” she said.
“We want to support businesses and communities in developing innovative digital tools to drive productivity and better outcomes for regional Australians.”
