ACS is pleased to host learning expert, Prof. Mitchel Resnick, as our next ICT Educators’ Global Leaders’ Series speaker, who will focus on training primary and secondary school teachers to prepare successful environments for today’s learners. Join us for this special ICT Educators’ Global Series event in collaboration with LEGO Education. All ACS members, primary school and high school teachers are invited to attend.

Hear an inspiring talk by learning expert, Mitch Resnick that is central to his book ‘Lifelong Kindergarten’ that focuses on the purpose of cultivating creativity through collaboration.

Mitch Resnick is the leader of the of MIT’s Media Lab and is the creator of Scratch, a coding platform that has attracted over 65 million users worldwide. This platform has led the way to fascinate users of all ages to learn in an environment where creativity is sparked and collaboration has allowed users from all over the world to connect and share their projects.

Mitch will challenge our thoughts and provide the opportunity to reflect on current teachings as educators and look at how the education systems are not providing the environments for today’s learner to succeed.

Lifelong Kindergarten explores the concepts that are necessary for learning in the 21st Century, using digital technology as a catalyst to empower students.

Igniting creative thinking is possible through the impact of projects, passions, peers and play. It is our learners that need to be ready for their future, a future that is sparked by engaging people in creative learning experiences that enables the discovery of new possibilities.
