Australian IT professionals are expected to meet the ethical standards set out in the ACS Code of Ethics and the ACS Code of Professional Conduct. Breaches such as document fraud, plagiarism or misrepresentation of skills or knowledge are grounds for termination of an application. In such circumstances the outcome will be recorded as unsuitable, a ban on reapplying may be imposed and the application fee will not be refunded.
The ACS may use various means to verify or validate applicants’ claims and documents and will only proceed with an assessment once the credibility of applicant claims are established.
